The Interquartz Slim-Line Hotline telephone is a telephone that has been designed to be used as a hotline phone to a specific number, or as an answer only telephone. It is commonly used as an emergency telephone which is why it is available in the bright red colour as well.

As the Interquartz Slim-Line Hotline telephone 9826N does not have a keypad to allow it to make an outgoing call it has to be connected to a telephone system with the hotline feature on it. This means that as soon as the handset is lifted on the telephone, the system it is plugged into will ring the pre programmed number. If it is plugged into a telephone system that does not have this feature when the handset is lifted it will just get a dial tone.

Also the Interquartz Slim-Line Hotline telephone 9826N can be used as an answer only telephone. This means that if the telephone rings the handset can be lifted and a conversation can happen. This also means that nobody can make an outgoing call which offers protection against misuse.

The Interquartz Hotline 9826N telephone can be purchased with either a standard BT line cord or an RJ11 line cord instead.
